Israelis in the Netherlands calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza
Join us this Sunday, March 10 at 13:30, at the entrance to the Wertheimpark Amsterdam
To protest the Israeli President’s visit to the opening of the new Holocaust Museum
This Sunday the president of Israel, Yitzhak Herzog will be a guest at the opening of the Dutch National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam.
When asked about the civilian casualties in Gaza, this president said that “it’s an entire nation out there that is responsible (for the October 7th massacre) ”. This president signed a missile before it was launched to Gaza. His words and actions have been submitted as evidence in the ongoing judicial process at the ICJ in the Netherlands investigating the crimes of genocide by Israel in Gaza.
The Dutch National Holocaust Museum should NOT host a man who endorses war crimes.
The horrific attack of Hamas on 7th of October does NOT justify the ruthless inhumane Israeli attack on Gaza.
We call for the end to the ongoing massacre in which more than 30,000 Palestinians were killed and more than 70,000 were injured, everybody in Gaza is hungry, about 500,000 are facing starvation.
This must stop. Ceasefire NOW.
We call for an immediate release of all the Israeli hostages that are held in the Hamas tunnels in Gaza. This must stop.
Ceasefire NOW.
The Israeli president will bring some of the hostages’ family members with him to the opening of the Dutch National Holocaust Museum. This is a cynical use of the horrific Oct. 7 attack to mask ongoing Israeli retaliation in Gaza. Israeli government members clearly stated that releasing the hostages is not a top priority. Meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rutte will not help the hostages whatsoever. The only action that will bring forwards the hostages’ release is ceasefire NOW.
As Israelis who grew-up on the memory of the Holocaust, we cannot remain indifferent to this cynicism. Out of respect for Holocaust victims we will not be silent now.
