gate48 alternative pesach (passover) meal
April 28, 2016
Although these are not easy days in Israel Palestine, we know that without hope change will never come. Pesach in our tradition symbolizes hope. It’s the time we celebrate the journey from slavery to freedom and the beginning of spring. On Saturday the 23rd of April (second day of pesach) we joined together with 50 people, Israeli, Palestinian, Dutch (and some other nationalities), to celebrate this Jewish/Israeli tradition in a hopeful and very tasty alternative pesach meal. Our host was Isam Nadaf, who prepared and donated this amazing tasty meal in his Mediterranean restaurant Hembrug & Zaandammer
We had a truly wonderful alternative Seder on Saturday and we wish to thank all people who helped us making it happen.
This was the first time for us organizing a Seder also to non-Israeli people and we hope it will become a tradition and to welcome even more people next year.
